“Protect Our Home”:  Have you every explore the beach at low tide?  There are some amazing things to see in our local waters and this sign is designed to illustrate the diversity of the intertidal zone----and to communicate the steps we need to take to protect this complex and important ecosystem.

Harbor WildWatch was inspired to pursue this project after listening closely to comments from our dedicated state park rangers who alerted us to the need for reinforcing the kind of beach etiquette for health of our shorelines.

The 10th in our series of interpretive signs, "Protect Our Home" will be installed in spring of 2008.  It will be located on the trail to the beach at Kopachuk State Park and also at Penrose State Park.
