Kopachuck State Park:
Kopachuck State Park consists of 109 acres with 5,600 feet of saltwater shoreline with twelve moorage buoys, an underwater park for divers and 1,500 feet of unguarded beach. The park has numerous trails some with views of Henderson Bay and the Olympic Mountains.
Park facilities include 41 campsites with no hookups, two unorganized group camps, 79 picnic sites, three comfort stations, five kitchen shelters, and a trailer dump station.
Hiking, clamming, boating, water skiing, camping, picnicking, beachcombing, scuba diving, bird watching and shore fishing are some of the activities enjoyed in the park.
The low rolling hills and sheltered inland salt water that make up the Puget Sound basin produce a mild, marine climate characterized by wintertime clouds, rain, and sometimes a light snow, but lots of summertime sunshine.
Maximum winter temperatures are in the mid- to high 40s with minimum temperatures in the mid 30s. Summers are warm with maximum and minimum temperatures in the mid 70s and low 50s, respectively. This area averages 51 inches of precipitation per year.
