What exactly is a wetland?  And why are they so important?  Wetlands are really “marvels of nature,” as this sign explains.  They improve water quality, protect homes and natural landscapes from flooding, help prevent shoreline erosion, and supply natural products such as cranberries, rice, medicinal products, and more.  Learn more.
