I’ll bet there is a seaStars in your class
this year. A student with that extra spark of interest in the world
around him or her, and a curiosity in science and the outdoors. A
student excited about learning. A student who wants to help make
the world a better place. In fact, I’ll bet you know several
seaStars. Harbor Wild Watch has developed
a special program just for such kids ages 8-12. seaStars is a junior
naturalist and volunteer program that involves kids in hands-on
learning about the marine environment and engages them in meaningful
service projects.
seaStars undergo four special educational workshops,
complete a service project, assist Naturalists on the beach during
our “Get Your
Feet Wet” summer
program and attend an awesome end-of summer field trip. All for free.
If you know a student who would be interested in joining the seaStars program,
our next session will begin May 2008. Harbor WildWatch will accept 30 kids, ages
8-12, into seaStars & Beyond for 2008. Applications are accepted April 1-30,
2008; please pass on our application. Harbor WildWatch will accept 30 applications
received by April 30, 2008.
